EDU416 Understanding and Managing Conflict in Professional Organizations

Looks at why conflict arises in professional relationships and organizations, and offers both a conceptual framework and a set of tools for understanding and navigating it. Conflict is viewed as not only an inescapable aspect of life, but as a necessary ingredient for highest quality decisions, universally embraced strategies, and strongest working relationships. Conflict tools for capitalizing on these possibilities are practiced in a workshop format, applied to interpersonal, teamwork, mediation, and negotiation problems.
